Al Hilal have turned their attentions to another European star after Bruno Fernandes rejected their huge contract offer, it has been claimed.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday morning that Manchester United captain Fernandes had turned down the chance to move to the Saudi Pro League club.
The 31-year-old had an offer on the table that would have seen him treble his United wages and become one of the highest-paid players in world football.

He would have also been able to play in the Club World Cup, provided any deal had been completed before the registration cut-off of June 10.
But Romano reports that Fernandes still wants to play at the top level in Europe, while Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that his family were 'not keen' on a move to Saudi Arabia.
Al Hilal, meanwhile, have already identified their alternative target.

Romano adds that they want to sign AC Milan and France left-back Theo Hernandez to transform their defence.
The 27-year-old has been one of the most consistent attacking full-backs in the world over recent seasons, having started his career at Atletico Madrid before moving to Real Madrid.
It is claimed that Al Hilal have agreed terms with AC Milan, consisting of a £30 million initial fee plus £5 million in add-ons.
AC Milan missed out on Europe entirely after finishing eighth in Serie A, even after winning four of their final five matches.

That means several of their top stars have been linked with moves away from the club.
But Romano reports that Hernandez has not yet agreed personal terms with Al Hilal, which could open him up to a move elsewhere or to stay at the San Siro to help Milan's push to return to Europe next season.
The Saudi side, meanwhile, will no doubt be desperate to avoid a Fernandes repeat and secure one of their top targets ahead of the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
