Real Madrid supporters rush to defend Trent Alexander-Arnold after Liverpool fans anger at Instagram post

Trent Alexander-Arnold is settling into life as a Real Madrid player.

Real Madrid fans have defended Trent Alexander-Arnold after Liverpool supporters expressed their anger on an Instagram post.

Earlier in the month, Alexander-Arnold was officially unveiled as a Madrid player after he decided to leave boyhood club Liverpool.

Over the last two weeks, the 26-year-old made his first two appearances for Los Blancos at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Most recently, Alexander-Arnold impressed during Madrid's 3-1 win over Pachuca.

However, due to his latest social media activity, Alexander-Arnold's brother, Marcell, has come under fire from Liverpool fans.

Posting a series of pictures, Marcell wrote: "That was just negative energy for us to feed off…"

In the comments section, one Liverpool fan said: "The negative energy is you having no respect to the fanbase that supported your boy."

Another wrote: "Negative energy is leaving on a free , don’t complaint about something you started."

A third fan added: "So what your saying is liverpool was negative."

Meanwhile, a few Madrid fans were quick to defend Marcell and Trent.

Someone wrote: "Welcome to Madrid bro, ignore the negative energy in the comments."

Another added: "Hala Madrid."

A third said: "Hala Madrid and nothing else!"

Speaking after the match against Pachuca, Alexander-Arnold's teammate, Jude Bellingham, praised the full-back, he said: "He's been really good, I think the lads have taken to him really well because not only is he an amazing player, but he's a great guy as well. Obviously, he's already speaking a bit of Spanish, so I think all the lads were impressed by that. It's been really nice.

"Listen, it's all good, it's just about enjoying himself really, obviously the pressure is gonna be insane but I told him he's here for a reason and that he'll do great things for the club and I think he already believed that, he's got that confidence so yeah, it's really nice to have him."

Alexander-Arnold and Madrid will be back in action on Thursday when they take on Austrian outfit RB Salzburg at the Lincoln Financial Field.
