Jake Paul's payslip for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr fight leaked as two shocking details revealed

Paul, 28, comfortably beat Chavez Jr., 39, at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California, on Saturday night.

Jake Paul’s fight purse for his unanimous decision points victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been made public.

Paul, 28, cantered to a unanimous 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92 victory over the former WBC middleweight champion in California on Saturday and proceeded to call out several big names shortly after.

"All the boos are words, but actions speak louder than words," Paul said when addressing the crowd while stood in the ring.

“It was flawless. I think I only got hit 10 times," he explained. "He's been in with [Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez] and all those guys, and I embarrassed him like that. Easy work."

The win improved Paul’s professional boxing record to 12 victories and one defeat – against Tommy Fury in 2023.

The result was rather unsurprising, and the bout played out in a similar fashion to that of Paul’s victory over Mike Tyson in November 2024.

However, details of the fighters' purses have since emerged, and Paul was not remunerated as handsomely as some of the undercard fighters.

According to information from the California State Athletic Commission, obtained by MMA Junkie, Paul earned $300,000 for his headliner against Chavez Jr. while the 39-year-old outearned him, pocketing $750,000 for his efforts.

Another undercard fighter, Gilberto Ramirez, also received more than Paul, earning $1.5m for his points victory against Yuniel Dorticos.

As reported by Bloody Elbow, Paul earned around $30m for his bout against Tyson, which was broadcast on Netflix.

Although it must be noted that Paul would’ve likely earned more than the $300,000 stated as his company Most Valuable Promotions put on the show.

“It was like low 30s. Low 30 million,” Paul said when discussing his purse for the Tyson fight during an episode ‘The Iced Coffee Hour’ podcast.

“I haven’t announced it yet, but I bought a ranch. A pretty expensive ranch. It wasn’t like right away after the Tyson fight, but I’ve been wanting to buy a ranch for the past 15 years.”
